Price and quality are the main sales factors in TT.  All sales material must be in English. U.S. companies must be aware of labeling requirements and ensure that products conform to the TT Bureau of Standards requirements or TT food and drug requirements.

In the case of pharmaceuticals and food supplements, companies should first identify a suitable local agent or distributor who can ensure import requirements are satisfied. Companies can also contact the Chemistry, Food and Drugs Division of the Ministry of Health at 92 Frederick Street, Port of Spain, Tel: (868) 623-2854; Fax: (868) 623-2477. This Division is responsible for the administration of pharmaceuticals, chemicals and foods.
