There is no legal requirement that foreign investors or business people engage in joint ventures to access the Surinamese market.  Local entrepreneurs show increasing interest in manufacturing licensing agreement.  A number of SME’s enter into licensing agreements to produce end products (e.g. PVC panels) in Suriname.
