Includes the U.S. government export controls that companies need to abide by when exporting to this country.

There are no sanctions against Zambia.  The U.S. government requires export licenses for products related to national security, particularly dual-use technology that has commercial and military or proliferation application.  Other items that the U.S. government regulates for export include defense articles, nuclear materials, and controlled substances.  The U.S. government controls exports on a case-by-case basis, examining the following factors: the destination, the end-user, the product, and its end-use.  The majority of exports that do require a license are either controlled on the Commerce Control List (CCL), administered by the Commerce Department, or the U.S. Munitions List (USML), administered by the State Department.
