Discusses the legal requirements/options for joint venture/licensing in this market.
Last Published: 4/4/2019
The Zambian business community has a strong interest in joint ventures and licensing agreements.  Local investors actively seek out these arrangements in order to overcome scarcity of domestic capital, technology, and expertise.  There are no legal restrictions on joint venture arrangements.  Joint venture partnerships should be established contractually and registered with the Patent and Company Registration Agency (PACRA).
