Discusses the state of direct marketing and what channels are available for companies to use direct marketing.

Direct marketing is usually not cost-effective in Nepal due to the small market size for U.S. products, poor road infrastructure, and generally unreliable postal service.  Local firms are increasingly interested in the commercial potential of the Internet.  Nepal has ninety-six Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and many local businesses, tourist agencies, and industries maintain home pages.  Twenty-two satellite/cable TV networks, nineteen private TV channels, and three state-owned broadcast TV channels offer additional marketing opportunities to reach audiences.
