Welcome to Uganda

In 2007 Uganda attracted USD 307 million in Foreign Direct Investment, about USD 23 million of which is U.S. FDI. This figure has increased every year for the past decade due to continued macroeconomic and political stability. Small and medium sized corporations from other African countries, such as Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius and South Africa are among the top investors in Uganda. In the last few years, several South African firms made high-profile investments in the Ugandan retail and cellular telephone sectors.
