Best Prospect Industry – Agriculture

Agriculture is a priority sector in Rwanda’s Vision 2020. The GOR aim is to replace subsistence farming with a fully monetized commercial agricultural sector by 2020. The agricultural sector has averaged 45 percent of GDP over the past decade. The principle agricultural export products are coffee, tea and horticulture.

The Government is interested in increasing agricultural production and an increasing amount of agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilizers and pesticides will need to be imported.
