As part of CS Romania’s continuous efforts to showcase the U.S. technology and expertise in the field of water and wastewater, a visit to Motorola’s Excellence Centre of Technology in Tel Aviv, Israel was organized for a senior delegation from Romania. The visit (February 11-15, 2011) organized in partnership with Patronatul Apei focused on Motorola’s latest SCADA solutions for the water and power markets.
The delegation was headed by Mr. Felix Stroe, the President of Patronatul Apei. He was accompanied by senior representatives of the major Romanian water and wastewater utilities (i.e. Apa Nova, the Buzau Water Company, etc), relevant associations, engineering and construction companies as well as international financing institutions (the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development).
The delegation’s agenda included briefing sessions as well as a site visit to the SCADA Control Center of the pumping stations of the Haifa’s Municipality water system where Motorola’s solutions are implemented . After the visit’s end, the delegation returned with highly favorable reports of the potential opportunities to implement Motorola’s SCADA solutions. An interesting initiative of RAJA Constanta would be the creation of a SCADA training facility in the county of Constanta, with Motorola's assistance. The center will allow the Romanian water utilities to have continuous access to the latest SCADA solutions provided by a U.S. and global technology leader.
