A delegation of eleven American businesses with expertise in airport infrastructure and technology has been invited to attend the US Vendors’ Day organized by the Commercial Section of the U.S. Embassy in partnership with Timisoara Airport on January 20, 2010. The event was hosted by Timisoara Airport “Traian Vuia”.
The American participants, recruited by the Commercial Section of the U.S. Embassy came in Romania to introduce their offers for airport design, upgrade and expansion. The group explored investment opportunities for eight of Romania’s regional airports – Arad, Bacau, Craiova, Iasi, Satu Mare, Târgu Mureş, Timişoara and Tulcea, after a short presentation done by each airport regarding their investment plans, development objectives, future prospects and business opportunities these would produce.
The program participants (ARINC, ARUP, AS&E, CISCO SYSTEMS, DELOITTE, EPSTEIN, ESCO, FORTINET, RAYTHEON, SH&E and WHITE&CASE) represent a wide range of services and technologies from products, technologies and services relevant to airport modernization.
