2015 European Roadshow Stops in Portland!

The 2015 European Roadshow features visiting Europe-based U.S. Embassy Commercial Specialists and a Washington DC-based EU policy analyst. This briefing will offer insights on working with the U.S. Commercial Service (CS) to launch and expand your business in the 28 member countries of the European Union, and provide an update on the progress of the one of the most significant trade negotiations of the decade -- the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). Senior Commercial Specialists from Spain and Slovakia provide special insights into these industries in their national and regional markets and discuss the CS regionalization initiative:

Energy & Environmental Technologies;
Information & Communication Industries;

This day-long seminar provides information and resources needed to help established businesses develop an export market, supplies occasional exporters with tools to begin/expand international business, and offers current exporters a forum for discussing special issues in export business development.

2015 - The Year of Trade in Oregon

“International trade generates nearly half a million jobs in Oregon and is a major economic growth engine for the state.”

That point is among many to be made throughout 2015 by the Pacific Northwest International Trade Association (PNITA), a program of the Portland Business Alliance, and by the Port of Portland. Together the Alliance and the Port are launching “Year of Trade in Oregon” as a way to raise awareness for Oregon’s strength in global markets and for the state’s economic dependence on trade.

Other organizations supporting this effort include: Greater Portland Inc., Business Oregon, Oregon Consular Corps, Oregon Department of Agriculture, CMS Consulting Services, the Portland Development Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
