US Department of Commerce Internships*

Location: Cincinnati and/or Dayton, OH

Note: Position is unpaid; must be a U.S. Citizen; minimum of 18 years of age; and a full/part-time student

The U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC) in Cincinnati, OH, offers full-time internships during Spring, Summer and Fall semesters. Part-time applicants must be able to commit to at least 16-20 hours a week during a minimum of two full business days. For a complete description of our internship position, please click here.

Applicants for the Intern positions should be undergraduate or graduate students with an interest in international business and/or marketing. They also must have good customer service, writing and computer skills. Conditions of the Internship Position

A USDOC Internship Applicant must be:

  • A U.S. citizen
  • At least 18 years of age

3. A full or part time student, enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited academic institution with a minimum of 3.0 GPA

Internships are contingent upon the successful completion of a:

  • Reference check
  • Pre-employment security interview
  • Pre-employment FBI name check
  • FBI background investigation for positions lasting longer than 90 days

If selected, interns agree to secure a sponsor from their college or university to sign an agreement between our Government agency and the academic institution.

*This intern program is on a volunteer basis and is unpaid, however academic credit may be offered as arranged by your educational institution.
