Showtime One-on-One Appointments with Country Specialists
We are pleased to announce the Showtime program, to be conducted at Automechanika Frankfurt 2012 by the U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Automotive Commercial Specialists from U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the world will be at the show and available for one-on-one meetings with U.S. companies, with products or services of at least 51% U.S. content, exhibiting at Automechanika.
These Commercial Specialists are your U.S. representatives and business advocates in their host countries. They can discuss the current market situation, export issues important to your firm, and export opportunities in their respective markets. If you are already exporting, they are also available to work with you to find additional partners, new markets and/or increase your market share.

U.S. Government Agencies participating in Automechanika Frankfurt:
*U.S. Census Bureau: The Foreign Trade Division of the U.S. Census Bureau will meet with U.S. companies at Automechanika 2012 to provide instruction on how to access and use the monthly U.S. Trade Statistics in order to increase international sales. The U.S. Trade Statistics are generated on a monthly basis and provide detailed information on over 18,000 commodities. Census staff will assist U.S. companies in identifying the best international market for a particular product. In addition to this, Census Staff will also assist U.S. companies on how to properly process the filing of export information into the Automated Export System (AES), a requirement for all U.S. exporters.This type of trade data is critical to the goal of expanding exports.
**Office of Manufacturing & Services: The Office of Transportation and Machinery (OTM) undertakes industry analysis, contributes to U.S. trade policy development, participates in trade negotiations, organizes trade capacity building programs, and evaluates the impact of domestic and international economic and regulatory policies on the aerospace, automotive, and machinery industries. OTM works with other Department of Commerce units and U.S. agencies in developing a public policy environment that advances U.S. competitiveness at home and abroad. A key to the successful efforts of OTM and other MAS offices is our strong working relationship with trade associations and individual companies within our sectors.
***U.S. Small Business Administration: As SBA's office for the support of small business international trade development, the Office of International Trade works in cooperation with other federal agencies and public- and private-sector groups to encourage small business exports and to assist small businesses seeking to export. Through 19 U.S. Export Assistance Centers, SBA district offices and a variety of service-provider partners, we direct and coordinate SBA's ongoing export initiatives in an effort to encourage small businesses going global.
Advance registration required: These appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis and the schedule fills up quickly. Companies that wish to participate must register in advance through the U.S. Department of Commerce ShowTime Program. There is no fee for this service.
