The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), organized by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, is now firmly established as the world's most influential lighting event. In 2013, the four-day show attracted 116,983 visitors from 120 countries and regions. Exhibitor numbers was 2,588, from 27 countries and regions, and the total exhibition area was 215,000 sqm, covering 20 halls. The product groups consisted of technical lighting, decorative lighting, LED technology, professional lights, electric lights and accessories and electronic components that were displayed. Over 100 sessions of symposiums, seminars and presentations for different groups of industry professionals.
