The NextGen Solutions Vendors Guide catalogues U.S. providers of the technology and services necessary to implement the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Aviation System Block Upgrade (ASBU) initiative. These state-of-the-art solutions address current and expected needs regarding air traffic management, airspace capacity, flight path efficiency, enhanced communications and data exchanges, and operational improvements to the airport environment.
This Vendors Guide is organized according to the four performance improvement areas outlined in the ICAO Global Air Navigation Capacity & Efficiency Plan, with an additional category capturing the knowledge and service providers necessary to put these solutions into operation. The five categories of this Guide are as follows:
A note about the Blocks: In the descriptions of the individual solutions for the four categories based on the ASBU-designated performance improvement areas, you will see notations indicating which Block the solution pertains to. In this context, “Block” refers to periods of expected availability for implementation/roll-out.
The NextGen Solutions Vendors Guide supports the President’s National Export Initiative by fostering export opportunities for the U.S. air navigation equipment and services industry as well as advancing aviation safety and efficiency.
