Maritime Anti-Piracy Seminar

during Posidonia Shipping Exhibition 2012

On June 5, during the Posidonia 2012 commercial shipping trade exhibition in Athens, CS Greece staged a first-ever Marine Anti-Piracy Conference which attracted over 175 attendees from the global shipping community. Opened by U.S. Ambassador Smith, the conference showcased four U.S. companies offering anti-piracy technologies and services ranging from UAV-based surveillance support to acoustic barriers eliminating the pirate threat. As the largest commercial shipping exhibition in the world, Posidonia was an excellent venue for these firms to generate business from ship-owners worldwide.
