AERO 2013

The Global Show for General Aviation

Friedrichshafen — Get ready and don’t miss the best general aviation event in the European market! AERO 2013, the international trade fair for general aviation, takes place April 24-27 this year. AERO is held annually in Friedrichshafen at Lake Constance, Germany, the scenic city of the Zeppelin airships. Located in the center of Europe, within the three-border-triangle of Switzerland, Austria and Germany, AERO 2013 is the ideal stepping stone to enter the European market for general aviation. After the success of AERO 2012, the upcoming show will be one of the most important marketing platforms for more than 600 exhibitors from 30 countries, almost half of them from outside of Germany, showcasing their products to nearly 35,000 trade visitors from 40 countries. The organizers expect some 700 press and media representatives. Exhibitors from the following areas will be present at AERO 2013:

  • Business jets
  • Single & twin-engine aircraft
  • Light aircraft (UL, VLA, LSA)
  • Used aircraft
  • Gliders & powered gliders
  • Amphibious aircraft & seaplanes
  • Helicopters & gyrocopters
  • UAS & UAV

  • Aerodromes

Moreover, there will be a range of special exhibitions that have become cornerstones of the show: the E-Flight-Expo featuring alternative drive concepts under the theme »Electrical, Ecological, Evolutionary«, as well as the Avionics Avenue, the Engine Area and “Observe by Air”, all dajacent to the Helicopter Hangar featuring models in every price range and configuration, from small ultralights to twin-turbine helicopters.

U.S. Exhibitor Support & Registration

The U.S. Commercial Service is offering a wide range of free-of-charge support services for U.S. exhibitors at AERO 2013. Our standard services include the Exhibitor Support Program (ESP) and the International Promotion Program (IPP). Both programs provide high-quality support that complements your company's presence at the show.

Exhibitor Support Program (ESP)

Through the ESP, we will be able to provide you with a variety of services, including market research, assistance in finding suitable business partners and other customized services, all designed to promote your exports before, during and after the show. This unique opportunity is offered for U.S. companies only. The ESP includes the following elements:

  • Focused email promotion of U.S. exhibitors to local contacts in the general aviation industry (FREE)
  • On-site counseling, market research, interpreting, and logistics assistance (FREE)
  • Follow-up with leads after the show per agreement with sector specialist (FREE)
  • Company and products listing on our local buyer targeted AIX 2013 promotion page on BuyUSA.gov Germany (FREE)

International Promotion Program (IPP)

The IPP is a useful extension of the ESP. Due to its highly international visitor structure and its location in the center of Europe, AERO 2013 holds great prospects for U.S. companies to reach a wider European audience and enter other markets in Europe and beyond. Therefore, we are cooperating with the aerospace specialists at selected European U.S. Commercial Service offices. They will provide country-specific lists of key contacts and distributors (per agreement with specialist).
