|Philoxenia 2011 - "Discover America" Literature Promotion Program -- Travel and Tourism Industries|
Philoxenia, Greece's premier annual international travel and tourism exhibition, takes place every year in Thessaloniki, the second largest city in northern Greece.
Over 20,000 visitors, including 8,500 tourism professionals from Greece and 42 other countries including the U.S., attended Philoxenia 2010 and the parallel HOTELIA EXPRO & CLEAN Hotel exhibition. Over 320 exhibitors from 15 countries participated in Philoxenia and more than 1,000 pre-arranged business meetings were held.
The CS Athens Literature Promotion Program (LPP) customizes and expands-upon the traditional catalog show. We select the best trade shows at which to hold the LPP, in sectors that offer the greatest potential for U.S. firms. We know that it is very important that we understand your products or services, and your objectives for participating in this event, so before the event we will ask you to complete a Company Profile, detailing your products or services, your competitive advantages, your objectives for participating in the LPP, the most important criteria that you are looking for in an overseas partner, and other important information. We will then call you to review your Profile and answer any questions you may have. All of this information will better enable us to discuss your products or services with visitors to the event and to obtain the right information from them.
CS Athens' first participation in Philoxenia 2010, through its “Discover America” Literature Promotion Program, was a resounding success, generating 12 Export Successes, to date, for the participating U.S. companies. In addition to the display of U.S. companies' literature in our booth, CS Athens arranged for a number of promotional activities for U.S. participants before, during and after the show. Before Philoxenia, CS Athens sent press releases to all major travel media, major tour operators and travel agents, and to the Philoxenia organizers. In fact, the press release regarding the Discover America Booth was on Philoxenia's website before, during and after the exhibition, and is still active. During Philoxenia, CS Athens distributed press releases with the profiles of U.S. participating companies to travel journalists that participated in the press conference given by the Minister of Culture and Tourism. And following Philoxenia, internet travel sites uploaded information on our participation. After the event, CS Athens will provide the trade leads generated at the show to the U.S. participants and send a follow-up message to the firms we met with, reminding them of our meeting.
New Service Added this Year! Approximately 60 foreign tour operators, invited by the Philoxenia organizers, will participate in Philoxenia 2011 and will be available for pre-arranged one-on-one meetings. CS Athens will meet with and promote the U.S. participants to these tour operators.
Participation fee is $300 per U.S. entity. This is a very popular event so be sure to reserve your space right away!
