|TECHTEXTIL 2011 -- Textile Fabrics, Textile Products - Made-Up|
Techtextil is the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens. From research and development, via the multitude of materials, production, finishing and recycling, to multipliers, such as associations and trade publishers, Techtextil presents the complete spectrum and expertise of the sector, as well as potential areas of application for technical textiles and nonwovens.
In the past, Techtextil has focused primarily on technical areas of application. Previously, Avantex, International Forum for Innovative Apparel Textiles, was held parallel to Techtextil as an independent event.
The suppliers taking part in Techtextil will henceforth be split into eleven product groups. A concept has been developed to present the growing number of new uses and innovative areas of application for technical textiles in a visitor and service oriented way: the division of the visitor-target groups into twelve areas of application with eye-catching pictographs and names ranging from Agrotech to Sporttech.
At the exhibition stands, these pictographs enable visitors to find information of interest to them quickly and easily. They show the applications for which the exhibitor concerned offers products or services. In this way, all visitors have no difficulty in finding potential suppliers and all exhibitors can be sure of attracting the right visitors. Thus, every exhibitor can reach new visitor target groups and increase the spectrum of potential customers in the areas of application relevant to him. The result is synergetic effects between the individual segments.
The Techtextil Symposium and the Avantex Symposium round off the fair. And, as in the past, three competitions will be held for the Techtextil Innovation Prize, the Avantex Innovation Prize and the 'Textile Structures for New Building' award for students.
Material Vision – Materials for Product Development, Design and Architecture, International Trade Fair and Conference – will take place parallel to Techtextil for the first time in 2009 and, therefore, give both events the chance to reach new target groups and open up new fields of business.
