Visit USA Show 2010 will take place April 2010, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Santiago. It is the only trade show held in Chile to promote exclusively travel and tourism to the United States. The visit USA Show program includes a reception to be hosted by U.S. Ambassador in Chile in honor of U.S. exhibitors. The U.S. Ambassador will present the "U.S. Ambassador Award" to the travel agents that generated the highest sales of tourism services to the U.S. during 2009 and to the student of the schools of tourism with the highest general average in 2009. Following the inaugural ceremony, a matchmaking session will take place between U.S. exhibitors and local tour operators. The event will finalize with a workshop where U.S. exhibitors distribute promotional material to the local travel agents.
