U.S.-China Venture Capital and Entrepreneurial
Forum
January 23-24, 2007
Washington, D.C.
The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) and China's National Development
Reform Commission (NDRC) will hold a U.S. - China Venture Capital
and Entrepreneurial Forum in order to strengthen our overall relations
and discuss policy issues that are central to entrepreneurship
and venture capital in China and are relevant to U.S. interests.
On January 23, the DOC will host a series of government-to-government
meetings that will kick off the Forum. On January 24, George Mason
University will host meetings through which U.S. businesses, financiers,
and institutions with interest in China will be afforded a unique
opportunity to meet NDRC officials and to hear directly about
venture capital, financing and investment policy in China. They
will also have an opportunity to learn about Chinese emerging
enterprises, to understand competitive risks in China, and identify
potential investment targets for U.S. companies.
