Ethiopia’s population of over 77 million makes it potentially one of the largest markets in Africa. Despite a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita of about $285 in 2007/08, Ethiopia has been among the top ten U.S. markets in sub-Saharan Africa over the last several years.
