Workshop: “Innovative Technology & Solutions For Resilient & Smart Community Development”

May 19 - 20, 2015

ADB Headquarters, Mandaluyong City, Philippines

As part of the Knowledge Partnership Week, May 19-22, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is organizing this workshop intended to be a knowledge matching exercise between ADB, its developing member countries (DMCs) and private sector partners.

We invite U.S. firms to participate in the workshop and the “Think Tank Summit”, May 21-22. See website below:

Website: http://www.adb.org/news/events/third-asia-think-tank-summit-inclusive-knowledge-partnerships-development.

To register: Please email Mr. Naoki Sakai (E-mail: nsakai@adb.org), Miss Lisa Antonio (lantonio.consultant@adb.org) and Mr. Chikoy Duenas (cduenas@adb.org)

This event offers U.S. firms an opportunity to join in the discussions about new technologies and how these can contribute to disaster resilience and smart community development.  Decision-making government officials from the 67 ADB member countries (20 donors and 40+ emerging markets) will participate in the discussions.  The exercise will initiate discussions on how innovative and cost effective technologies and products can be identified and incorporated into ADB projects. The exercise will encompass all infrastructure sectors, including energy, transport, urban and rural development, water supply and others.

The ADB offers a wealth of opportunities derived from the $22 billion that the bank provides annually to its emerging market member countries to pay for procurement.
